From Van Horn, Texas. To Los Angeles CA.

Today is August 17th. Today I drove all the way from Van Horn, Texas. all the way to Los Angeles, I got there at night time where I spent the night in a hotel trying to get everything ready for the next day and the day after. This day was or could be the longest day of the trip and I am not planning to do again. it took me around 10 hours to get there and it was very hot, In the State of Arizona I found a couple of police stops and they asked me if I were a USA citizen. It was late in the evening when I got to L.A. I was very tired and I went looking for my sister. She went to L.A to get clothes back in Venezuela. We are supposed to meet in this city and spend some time together before I cross the border into Mexico where my journey begin for real, I am hoping everything goes well. I am not expecting any troubles at all...

Finally in L.A

Today I went to the hotel where my sister who came from Venezuela was staying, when I got there she was ready to go out and finish with all the shopping she needs for her boutique back in Venezuela. We talked for hours and most importantly have some fun, she told me all the stories from back home and we laughed the whole day. At the end it was a great day for both of us. She also was very excited about my trip, I thing she is the only person who hasn't told me no to take the trip because it was dangerous, she actually told me to go ahead and do it, that made me feel very good, of course after having so many People telling me that I was crazy, Now here I am in Los Angeles waiting for tomorrow. tomorrow is the big day for me because I will crossing the border into Mexico for the first time....

Crossing the border into Mexico

Today is August 19th. Today I spent most of the morning doing some late minute things for my truck because I forgot them so I have to finished before I cross the border, I wanted to cross the border early in the morning, But it was impossible everything took too long so by the time I actually crossed the border it was almost 12:00 noon. But good this was that I was able to crosse the Border in 10 minutes or less that was very good because There was plenty of sun daylight to do the rest of the paperwork at the Mexican side, for a minute or so I got lost because I was looking everywhere, but finally I got to the place, When I got the building there was a security guard, This guy is going to ask you what are here for?...
